Shalom family,
I understand that the Book of Yashar is generally accepted in the community as inspired, but I have a question that may test that - unless I'm missing something obvious!
The Book of Yashar has Moses fleeing Egypt when he was 18. However, in the Acts 7:23 Stephen states that he was 40. Isn't this a big problem for Yashar?
Hopefully someone out there has an answer.

Shalom T,
It was recommended to me to read five chapters of Jasher along with this cycle of Torah Parsha's. after the multitude of errors I found in those first five chapters, I put it down and haven't read any of it since. I also read the introduction which gives a lot away. For instance Rabbi A said this about the book, Rabbi B said this about the book. We have One Rabbi and it's not A or B :) Methusalah's age is wrong, what! There's no mention of the Genesis 6 account, and the author seems to blame everything that is evil down to the children of men. That's not what Genesis 6 says, nor Enoch, amongst a multitude of other errors. Jasher is of the table for me now and will stay there. We have to use good discernment when reading Apocraphyl books, testing them to The Word. Some pass, some fail. I do believe that there was A Book of Jasher or Book of the 'Just' but this one isn't it. Many people beleive it to be The Samaritan Pentateuch which contains The Torah, Joshua & Job. The Scroll still remains with The Samaritan Priesthood at Mount Gerazim. Which makes some sense as it's a witness to Joshua and Samuel.
Have a quick look...

I will be there this summer, YAH willing!
YAH bless you,
John
Shalom John,
Thank you for the information. Hmm, I think I'm going to stay clear from Yasher for now then - just too many inconsistencies to ignore/accept.
Wow, what a trip you have ahead of you! May Yahweh bless your time there.

I remember reading that there is an original ‘book of the Upright’ .... and then counterfeit versions, so yes, being wise. As the Spirit moves us all, none can be going in a different direction, when it is truth. Thanks be to Father. Some of us are so ‘poor in spirit’ .... please keep on helping us, brothers and sisters.
The word read in the allowed canonized Roman version has been changed. The Apocrypha books we're taken out to hide what?
I've thrown out jasher based on the timeline differences of the lxx and the masoretic text. It doesnt line up with the lxx time line but works with the masoretic one which shows me its rabbinical crap.
