People often use Bereshiyt 9:3 as a reason to eat all animals. I just read Jubilees 6:6 which seems to say the same thing. I’ve always understood this to mean to Yahush gave him/us everything to “use” not specifically to eat...basically restating that He gave us dominion over all things, but Jubilees says “eat”. What do you all make of that? What am I missing?
Just want to be able to properly defend The Word when people inquire on this topic.
I just now read Jubilees 6:38, discussing how Yisra’el will disturb the feasts and sabbaths... and the last sentence says: they will go wrong as to the new moons and seasons, and sabbathoth and feasts, and they will eat all kinds of blood with all kinds of flesh.
This implies that eating all kinds of flesh is bad. Which of course we know Torah tells us not all things are food. I just seek to rectify this apparent contradiction.
