I‘d also love to know the answer to that question, but from my research, it doesn’t seem it’s ever been recorded as to what it was. I often wonder just how many writings were destroyed or hidden about our Messiah especially during the early persecution of the first followers.
No, it is not recorded for us. But, I believe he wrote out the relevant laws.
I know this question was asked a long time ago... but did you know that this passage in John is a well-known and proven interpolation/ forgery. It was added into the text. Any good Bible translation will have the passage in parenthesis because it is only found in a few later manuscripts.
Also, note, in the story doesn’t make much sense in context because the Law of Yahuah commands that two or three witnesses must see the very act of adultery before one can stone somebody. Also, adultery takes two, why did they only want to stone the woman? Yet in this story Jesus says “let the one without sun cast the first stone”
I highly suspect that if this were a real situation, Jesus would have instead asked “where are the two witnesses to prove that this woman has committed adultery? and with whom did she commit adultery? If there aren’t two or three witnesses, then leave this woman alone!”
Whoever added this into the text must not have understood the law of two or three witnesses very well...or stoning.
I don’t know, I will have to research that. Good question.
Yahusha wrote in the sand the law what consider aldultry.
Lev 20:10 KJV -
And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
There were only womam. Man was missing.
Is there a scripture that say’s that is actually what HE wrote in the sand that day, or is this what you think he may have wrote? The Scribes and Pharisees had already told HIM that they had to stone her because Moses in the law commanded them to do so, Lev 20:10 as you already stated. Could HE possibly wrote John 8:15?
“Ye Judge after the flesh; I Judge no
Or could have possibly been something like what HE said in Luke 9:56?
“...the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s live’s, but to save them. ...”
These are just thoughts, I have no idea what he wrote. 😏
The reaction of pharasees and Scribes tells everything.
They could never stone the woman because law said that they have to have both sametime.
Cant kill woman on adultry without partner of crime.
(Sha did not do it alone)
James 4 :12
There is only one lawgiver and judge, he( God YAHUA) who is able to save and to destroy. So Yashua HaMashiah is mot judgin)
