Ever notice that Proverbs seems to warn against exactly the situation we are in now---either party. '1:14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:'
From: Proverbs 1
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
No matter who is talking, I just hear:
Vote for me, and I 'll give you your neighbor's stuff?!?!
I can't even vote with a clean heart anymore. What to do....
Wow, interesting how that passage seems to apply! Thanks for posting, and execllent point. Both sides are socialist, and almost no one on either side seems to realize it.
Yup, it's like someone removed all the 10 commandments from view, and then started campaigning on jealousy being a righteous sentiment toward a wealthier neighbor.
Right, I'm sure there are a lot more. I was trying to point out how immediately after they removed the 10 commandments, politicians started pointing at 'fat cats' and such. I hadn't seen blatant jealousy being used to get elected so openly until then. I don't think people realize that in order for this world to work, we can't tell our kids it's cool to use 'jealousy' to get elected. Makes me sad. 'Vote for me, and I'll give you your neighbors stuff'.... , then the other side started doing it too---cause it sells... so sad. Then when everyone finally gets "their's", they've burnt their own world down. Maybe it's all part of the birthing pains?
What's the little man doing? lol

My hope is in Christ.

There's a lot more than 10 Commandments. To clarify, the Hebrew from the Torah is actually closer to saying, "The 10 Sayings".
All the Commandments can be organized into 3 tiers;
1) Loving Elohim; Loving our Fellow Man
2) The 10 "Commandments"
3) All Commandments, from Genesis 2:16 ->
