Was reading this in Revelations 22:16 in the ESV although it was in like 5 version, I saw including the KJV.
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
Etymology of Lucifer:
Old English Lucifer "Satan," also "morning star, Venus in the morning sky before sunrise," also an epithet or name of Diana, from Latin Lucifer "morning star," noun use of adjective, literally "light-bringing," from lux (genitive lucis) "light" (from PIE root *leuk- "light, brightness") + ferre "to carry, bear," from PIE root *bher- (1) "to carry," also "to bear children." Venus in the evening sky was Hesperus.
What do you guys think of this I just saw this last night and I didn't like it and with everything else I have found that the name Jesus is only two hundred years old and it seems that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what the Catholic Church invented this is kinda like the final nail in the coffin for me.
Guess he went from telling people to worship idols to replacing the Son of YAHUWAH and to worship him.
In Revelation is a different word used than in 2.Peter. The word in 2.Peter is G5459 Phosphoros, wich is the same as in the greek OT for Luzifer. At least thats how much i could find out without knowing greek. Compare Isa 14:12, 2.Peter 1,19 and Rev 22,16, maybe that helps.
Wrong, its not the same word. But it looks close. εωσφορος φωσφόρος
Hmm, this is interesting, I'll investigate this, sigh you just me down another rabbit hole. lol.
But ya I know that Lucifer is called the morning star, so we don't want him in our hearts like Peter is saying. hmmm
It is another word as you say in Revelations its three words star, morning, and bright.
Although it does say that 5459 means light bearer.
Ya this is one thing that has been so hard for me because the Gospel of Jesus and the Gospel of Peace are very alike, and the Gospel of Jesus borrows a lot from the Gospel of Peace it just puts it in a different order.
