No, we do not. Torah does not instruct us to light any candles or say any particular blessing. That is a Jewish tradition. I started out doing that but have since removed the hand waving over the candles as I discovered the origin of that particular aspect was less than desirable. I do still light candles, bless Yahuah for sending His Son, and I blow a shofar at the beginning of Shabbat. I have always felt it helps to transition and delineate from the workweek to the Shabbat.

LOTS of practice!!! LOL!!! I’ve been blowing it fir a few years and still can’t get all the pretty bite changes!! It took a few weeks to even be able to get a normalish sound out of it. I watched several YouTube videos on it, and talked to some people who blow it well. Plus practice. That helped me. Though I need lots more.
