And the Protest from the Catholic Church is rekindled! Just saying that because I saw a video from a Priest the other day saying the protest is over. Well, it sure isn't now!
TLDR: It was an accident really, I was just looking in the Greek to see if Paul really did say the law was abolished or not and it turned into a 2.5 year journey of re-discovering the actual gospel of Paul instead of the invention of the Catholic Church. Some might ask why Luther didn’t find this because from what I have read he translated the Latin which was totally corrupted by the Catholics. Same with the KJV it’s based on the Latin, so even the Protestants were looking at the Catholics totally corrupt version. I on the other hand have dug into the Greek and translated exclusively from that version and it wasn’t as corrupt. Plus, with so many discoveries of Greek texts we have understanding of words they didn’t 500 years ago.
This is an answer to Philip Keiter asking: Is there an alternate way to translate every odd thing Paul said?
Yes and no, any translator is a judge because as translators we judge how and what word to use. I speak 3.5 languages and now I just went and added ancient Greek and Jewish Babylonian to that. There are a lot of words that have multiple meanings, but the sentences do have anchor words that don't have multiple meanings. From what I can tell everyone before has had the Catholic's Church theology that they invented back in 325 AD. So, they have translated everything Paul said with that meaning. I on the other hand have felt like Justin did 20 years ago. He just assumed that the translation was perfect and so let’s throw out Paul and not to listen to him, but I didn’t want to do that till I went myself to see what the Greek said. Since I speak multiple languages myself, I know that things can be translated differently and there is more than one way to say something. Since I came to this country when I was young, and I decided not to lose my 1st language and kept studying it I have been translating things for my dad, mom, and grandmother so that they understand better for the past 20 years. I have seen subtitles in movies and sometimes I am like that’s not exactly correct but I guess you can do it that way.
Then these two verses have always bugged me.
YAHUW in Matt. 5:48
Tells us, “Be perfect like your Father in Heaven is perfect.”
And also, in Matt. 5:17
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
Also 18 says, That the law will not pass away till the earth is destroyed. But then we have Paul talking up and down how the law is so over and abolished.
So, what do you do with that, I saw a video of a guy who said Justin is so wrong and so young for saying what he is saying about Paul and then gives explanations of how Paul didn’t say this or that? But from what I saw he was adding to the bible and he didn’t really say what his source was for adding to it or how he was making those assumptions. He was just telling his assumptions. So, calling Justin young and naïve but then he is practically doing the same thing. Except he is also doing the whole I am older than you and smarter than you, so I am right thing.
I went to the Greek and read from the Nestles 1904 version. I studied Greek for years and I have 3 other languages under my belt. I have also spend 2 decades translating between different languages. I know the problems you can run into. I know that cultures look at things differently. Like how the hell do you translate idioms? That has always been a source of problems for me in the here and now. Your only hope is to know the culture so well you can do a comparable destination language idiom.
Here is a good example in Spanish, there is a saying that says, “El león guzga por su condición.” A literal translation is, “The lion judges from his position.”
Now ok you have the literal words, but you don’t have the sentence’s meaning in Spanish. This is where translations like the KJV, ESV, and others like them that tout up and down how they are literal word for word translations and how awesome that is. Well, that is not awesome at all. Because you have the words, but you don’t have the original language meaning of the sentence you only have the words. The lion may judge from his position but what does that mean to you the reader and now in English you would add your own meaning to it or try to figure it out or you have to come to me, and I tell you the meaning but then you have to trust me but what if that person was told the wrong meaning by the Spanish person that told them the meaning because they hate Americans?? Because I lot of the meanings we rely on the Jews and they hated The Messiah.
But now if I tell you, “You don’t know a person’s situation till you walk a mile in their shoes.”
Now you have about the same meaning as the saying that I have in Spanish is. And its close but still not perfect but I think its way better than me translating word for word what I said. Don’t you guys think, what version do you want? So, you don’t want word for word translations. Scholars have taught how that is so awesome but like the bible says they are idiots that all they want to do is sell you a lie.
So now I gave you an example instead of just tell you believe what I say because I am smarter than you or because I have 3 letters after my name. I explained it to you for you to understand as well.
So, I just recently read all of 2 Esdras which was pretty incredible to me.
Because our ancestors rejected Him, we have been abandoned for 2k years it looks like and I guess since I found this we really are in the Last Days. Because Ezra says that the truth will be found in the Last Days.
24 “What shall I do to you, O Jacob? You, Judah, would not obey me. I will turn to other nations and will give them my name, so that they may keep my statutes. 25 Because you have forsaken me, I also will forsake you. When you beg mercy of me, I will show you no mercy.
Then the Paul we have doesn't talk about perfection or about the law not being abolished, but yet YAHUW did.
This has bugged me for over 20 years. So finally, 5 years ago I decided to start doing what you guys have been doing. Keeping the Sabbath and thinking I need to follow the moral Law.
But like 2 year ago I started to pray that He make me perfect like He is perfect.
Then I got a bug that I need to go and translate the Bible for myself.
For a year and half, I just spend time understand Greek words and their meanings and I have been translation for only about 5 months.
Then I started to read the meanings of the words like pistis = faith, nomos =law, charis = grace, and agapetos = love those are the 4 words that our entire beliefs are based on.
So, I was reading the definitions of these words. Now English is a super simple language and so you use one word for everything. But since I speak other languages, I know these words can't just always mean the same thing when in Greek they have 18 words for love. To top it off, all those words also have 4 variants that have almost the same meaning but not exactly it's a little different, but translators didn’t give you the variation they just went with its almost the same, so we’ll just use one word for all four.
So, here is an example: we have nomos, nomou, nomo, and nomon and well translators decided these are all just law and not only law but gods law, so that’s why we have time when Paul talks well about the law and others, he bashes it because it's all just law. I didn’t keep that assumption, I came out with a new version that says different things because of that.
I decided that isn't possible because of experience from knowing multiple languages. To discover what these words mean I was using the Helps words studies. I noticed that they said that Greek has a lot of compound words. And German also has that, so the common word in there is nom, so then I decided that nom = law because all 4 words have that in common. Then I went diving into the Greek to try to find out how each ending could affect the word at the time I was trying to translate Hebrews because Hebrews 10 is pretty much the definite chapter that says the law is abolished. With my digging I essentially started adding to the Strong’s Dictionary and now have my own personal version. So pretty much what I did was think outside the box and realized that Paul was talking about 2 different laws and not just one so when you change those assumptions then most of the sentences that he writes that sometimes make no sense start to make sense. He isn’t bashing the Most High's law and then talking well about it. He is talking badly about the evil one’s law and talking about following the Most High's law. That just brings a ton of clarity to what Paul is saying and it makes sense. The same with all 3 of those words that I have above. They also have 4 variations each.
From the four law words I ended up with Eloah’s LAW, elohim’s law, the LAW Bringer, and legal action. From my studying I found out that Elohim is only something you use when you talk about another god/s and not the Most High. So Eloah = God when you talk about the Most High and only, He gets Eloah and Elohim is for all other gods. I don’t use the word God because I found out that that word comes from Baal-Gawd. We all know who that is, and it seems that Gawd turned into gad and then after 2k years we get god. I never use god to address the Most High. Not only that but Baal is the definition of the word Lord. All you must do is look at any English dictionary and you will find that Lord means Baal. All the bibles you read say “Lord God” and well that is still the same Baal-Gawd just evolved.
Like I used the word charity for charis. Because when you look at the definition of grace and the definition of charity, they are the same. Plus, it also makes more since when Paul is talking about that He brought His infinite wealth with Him to pay for our lawlessness against His LAW. He was charitable with us. But since everyone hates charity, I guess scholars invented a new word and called it grace but left the same definition. Although grace can also mean approval and favor so then a translator does have choices.
What I have done is look for the anchor words and then fill in the gaps based on what makes the most sense with the anchor words. It's like putting a puzzle back together with no picture to see what it looks like. You have to try this word and then that one.
I have noticed as well that sometimes the translations skip words and leave them out and sometimes the sentences don’t make any sense at all. Like as if words have been deleted but since its all Greek to you how do you know? So, at times I have had to read like 5 sentences and with the fragments of 5 sentences then I can reconstruct what he was talking about.
But all the other translators instead of trying to bring the variation that Greek has just went with everything is love, law, grace, and faith. But I didn’t do that I just made different choices than they did. I also didn’t come with my own theology in my head and decided this must be this because that is what I believe, period.
I didn’t say ok I believe the Nicene Creed and if something I find doesn’t fit that foundation then I throw it out and translate something that fits to what I have decided I believe, period. Because in some of the sentences that is exactly what translators have done.
I wanted the word to say what it says. In many places I have seen that is what they did because theology says this, so they made it say that when it doesn’t say that at all. They made the Word fit their theology.
And that still doesn’t get into the fact that some of these words have more than one meaning.
It's pretty complicated problem that has taken me about 2 to 3 years to unfold. Like the past year I have been investing 60 to 70 hours every week to translating and studying as much as I can because they locked us up in our homes. Funny if they hadn’t decided to do that, I would still need like 2 more years of studying to be able figure this out. But instead, I was able to get 2 or 3 years worth of studying done in 6 months.
Paul pretty much says that the Pharisees are from the tribe of Satan and they abandoned YAHUWAH a long time ago. I am going to say the Jews didn’t like that and so changed it.
So, translating the way that I have, I found that Paul explains how to be perfect like He is perfect and just like YAHUW says He didn’t come to abolish the LAW. That is the Gospel of Peace, to bring peace between man and the Most High so that we are perfect like Him.
I always pray and I think I have good conversations with the Father and lately I have asked why He didn’t say something or have an angel come and say something?
But then I realize that in every church we go to we make oaths that this is what we believe and anything contrary to this is from the evil one as well as the bible verse that says any angel that comes to tell you another gospel can only be the devil. I went to look that up, but I guess that is only from the oath churches have. So even if Michael the Archangel would have come to me in a vision, I would have called him Satan and told him to leave. And interestingly enough the Greek doesn’t even say it like that or the version we have it seems but that is what I remembered hmm, interesting the things we remember cause it’s not like I go and re-read the whole bible all the time.
Gal 1:8 AMP
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we [originally] preached to you, let him be condemned to destruction!
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:8 my version
However even if we or a fallen angel that came from the Heavens should tell you a different good news that is very similar to the Good News, we preach to you let him be rebuked by the Most High.
Guess the only reason I believe is because it's in the Greek, although it still has been hard to believe I am not going to lie. Because we have been lied to for 2k years that is pretty hard pill to swallow.
But when I have done research and realize that in 1450 when the printing press was invented a bible cost $70k for 1 copy in today’s money can you image that and before the printing press it was 800% more expensive. That means before the printing press a bible cost $56 million for 1 copy. And the literacy rate didn’t reach 80% in the whole earth till 1950s. The bible hasn’t really been re-read in the original a lot and have a ton of people looking at what the translators have done.
And when I was studying Bible history a lot of people just completely trust the KJV and just update the English to a modern English without really checking the originals.
And in 1450 the literacy rate was like 2% and only the rich could have a bible. Then it’s a whole lot more plausible. And I was reading the other day and the Catholic Church really suppressed the Bible and killed people that would have a copy in their home or read it themselves. It was especially bad to translate it out of the Latin. Like my mom told me the priests still did mass in Latin in 1970. That is barely what 50 years ago!
When you add that to the picture, I guess being deceived for 2k years makes a lot more sense.
And the Gospel of Jesus Christ is an invention of the Catholic Church from the very beginning.
Writing all this makes me realize that is the grand delusion from 2 Thessalonians.
So now we have the Gospel of Peace from The Messiah and erased by the Catholic Church and replaced by the Gospel of Jesus Christ who is the Sun god of Rome, and Baal-Gawd from the Canaanites aka the law of the evil one.
I might as well throw this in there I don’t say Holy because that comes from the Latin Santus which is the word the Romans used to call all their gods and emperors and it meant they were consecrated to their gods. And the Most High is not consecrated to the roman gods. Ergo He isn’t a roman god and so can’t be holy.
The definition of the word Set Apart is from the Jewish qadash which for the moment is best I think so that is why I say Set Apart Spirit of Truth.
I think that was prophesied wasn’t it? And for the end of days?
And I guess praise reports since I started following this myself and believing it. I used to have back problems and they are completely gone. I used to have something called a relaxed arch and that is gone as well. I was walking in the store and my back started to hurt a lot and that is the problem I had when I didn’t have the insoles, so I had to take out my insoles out that I paid 300 bucks for and just bought some $8 ones and then the back pain went away right there. I also used to hate doing work outside because of my weak back and I couldn’t help for barely an hour and my back would start to hurt but the other day I was outside for like 3 hours and I still had a ton of strength. Also, I had gotten to the stage where I could barely do 60 sit ups and then my chest hurt a lot and now, I can do 200 with no problem at all now.
That Means Proverbs 3 says this and its totally true: “My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, 2 for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.”
And verse 8: “It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.”
So, my bones and flesh have started to heal, and it has started to add days to my flesh. Because I have the strength that I used to have when I was in my early 20s.
Also, Caleb said he was 80 with the strength of a 45 year old I guess I read that before but didn’t really believe it and now that I have experienced a revitalization of my own strength, I totally believe it, lol like Paul says, “That you be convinced of His power from personal experience of His power working in you.”
I’ll start to post more of the Bible Translation if you guys want. If not, I’ll stop, I guess. Because I have shared this with very few people and the ones that I have pretty much have freaked out.
Edit: fixed some spelling mistakes.
